We purchased this home in 2005 as a new construction. After about 10 years we had the floors refinished by a company that I will not name. The floors turned out horrible. Seven years after that it was time to refinish the floors and so I started searching. I came across lifetime floors and I talked to Trevor . It turns out Trevor was the original installer and finisher of the floors when the house was built. He was very excited to get the opportunity to fix all the problems that were caused by the last company that refinished the floors seven years ago. We just got home from vacation and the floors look amazing. Trevor was awesome the whole time. He kept us up-to-date by sending pictures of progress . I can’t overstate how much he cares about doing a good job. He takes his work very seriously and he is very knowledgeable. He definitely takes pride in his craft….,(I don’t think he was happy with what the other company did to his original work)….but his main priority is that he wants to do an excellent job for the customer. You absolutely must call Trevor at lifetime floors before you consider anyone else. You will be glad you did.

I meet Trevor at the Omaha Home Show. I explained that I already had quarter sawn oak on my kitchen floor. I wanted to expand into the Living Room and hallway. I was delighted to know that not only could he splice into the original floor. He sanded the entire floor to be level. Hard job to do because I’m was an Industrial Arts teacher.

He also cut the Granite around my fireplace and fitted the flooring under the cut stone. No one else would do that job.
He took the extra time in choosing the correct stain.
Everyone who come into our home complements on the floor. Happy wife happy life.
I highly recommend Trevor for the work he did for me. So much that I am getting my Master Bedroom done in quarter sawn oak.

Wow! My wife and I just recently bought a house and decided to do some renovations before we moved in. Our wood floors were carpeted over sometime in the 70's based off the color and state of the carpet. When we pulled up the old carpet the wood floors were in a sad state. The foam pad had adhered to the wood floors, and there were a lot of spots where the floor had gotten wet and they were stained.

When I called Trevor we didn't have high hopes. We knew we wanted to save our floors, original red oak from 1963, but we figured there would still be some "character spots". What we got was above and beyond anything we could ever have expected. The floors turned out exceptionally well. I had been in and out working on drywall and paint so I had seen the progression, my wife had not. She was awestruck, the floors were unrecognizable. There was a spot where Trevor had to replace some planks, and a section that didn't have any planks. With his expertise Trevor was able to color match the wood exactly. The finish came out flawless and the stain came out exactly the way we wanted.

Trevor is truly a master of hardwood flooring. It was hard to imagine that coming off of a large commercial job that our floors would have received the amount of attention that they did. He really put in some long hours, even more then I had put into our house so far. His attention to detail and knowledge are top notch. Even though we were in a time crunch Trevor was able to pull off miracles.

We are moving in this weekend, and we feel truly blessed that Trevor was able to work on our floors. We can't wait to raise our baby girl in our new home with these beautiful floors under our feet.

The previous owners of our house raved about their “floor guy” for their new place and referred him to us. We had not met Trevor prior, but what a fortunate connection this has turned out to be! Trevor is top notch- a true professional and extremely meticulous. Our floors were a mess- old, brittle, extremely uneven. People told me it wasn’t worth it to refinish them- that my original DIY plans were crazy. I agree with that second part- DIYing them was a crazy idea. There’s no way- NO WAY- I would have successfully completed the project. With Trevor doing them, the floors look AMAZING now! We love them. They’re smooth, level and full of history. So much better and cleaner feeling than carpet- which is great since our kids have allergies.

If you’re like us- and need to be able to get back on your floors quickly after refinishing- GET THE UV finish! We have other projects and contractors coming and going, up and down stairs etc, and the UV finish is holding up beautifully. I had a mini meltdown after seeing the mess from plaster removal on the floor and steps, but they cleaned up in a breeze. What a relief!

I expected tons of dust and tons of mess during the refinishing process. I was pleasantly surprised that there was very little of either. Trevor has top notch equipment and the sanding mess was minimal. He’s also tidy and considerate. Trevor is a wealth of knowledge and connections. He truly went above and beyond. Do yourself a favor and hire Lifetime.

He uses top of the line materials and application/curing methods that those other guys can't compete with. His eyes light up when he talks about flooring and you can see his passion as he walks you through the meticulous details that make his work superior. Is he the cheapest out there... no. But after talking to him for a few minutes you will understand why I believe he does some of the best quality work in Omaha and why a few extra bucks is a small price to pay for peice mind. We love our new floors and I would have no problem recommending Lifetime Floors to anyone I know.
